Radikala Presents its Ideas at Kentro Neon Kalamata

On the 23rd of May is the Internation Day of Turtle and we decided to devote this event of us to 2 associations who are active on a local and national level for the Protection of the Sea Turtles and generally the protection of the environment and the awareness of people.

The event is divided in 2 parts, each one lasting around 1h, during which represantatives of the 2 associations will analyse their important actions and work.

Their aim is to inform us about how we could be more active citizens, volunteers and people and how we could motivate ourselves to get more involved with actions relevant to the environment and its protection.

Association)Raising awareness about environment and health through involving citizens in waste recycling combined with physical activity is the core idea of R.A.D.I.Kal.A (Recycling . Awareness . Design . Innovation . Kalamata . Association)

Radikala believes that citizen-focused engagement is necessary in finding and implementing effective solutions to environmental pollution and insufficient physical activity.

Further, Radikala’s practical approach is based on the idea of environmental awareness raising through engaging citizens and especially the young generation in non-profit, non-governmental educational projects for design and implementation of innovative recycling methods. For this purpose RADIKALA has designed the “Recycling Waste, Upcycling Awareness” project. This is the flagship project of RADIKALA.

Representatives of the team will analyse and expplain their ideas and will also talk to us about how they are planning to implement them in cooperation with the schools and other associations of the area of Kalamata.

Engagement from the city of Kalamata!

The city of Kalamata has shown genuine interest in Radikala’s vision and projects.
This was expressed during a short meeting with the mayor, Mr. Panagiotis Nikas on December 5th. A workshop is planned to be held during January to discuss details of cooperation with concerned departments and affiliated recycling and environmental partners of the city. Good news!
