Radikala’s flagship project was presented to pre-school and elementary school kids at Bougas educational compound in Kalamata. The interest and curiosity of these kids had no limits! And they all had better answers than what we expected to our rhetoric questions!
Our new shredder bike, tailored to shred greek plastic water bottles, is ready to asseble on recycled bikes. We have received new oeders for this shredder-bike and need more old bikes! Please let us know if you want to get rid of your old bikes!

R.A.D.I.Kal.A project’s first ever “official” presentation will be take place soon at Bougas Education Complex in Kalamata! We can write recycling history right here in Kalamata, amidst the Greek crisis!
Encouraged and inspired by the curiosity shown by kids during the 10th Kalamata Street Festival and 6th Kalamata Agricultural Fair, Radikala has now improved the shredder- bike design. A 1:25 reducer has replaced the chain-gear mechanism and the shredder is now totally child-safe!
We are glad to inform that a consensus to launch Radikala project in schools of Kalamata has been reached during a meeting on October 6th attended by representatives from R.A.D.I.Kal.A, Kentro Neon Kalamata/K.A.N.E, Recycling Department of the Municipality of Kalamata (Τμήμα Ανακύκλωσης Δήμου Καλαμάτας), and Activities Office of Primary Schools for the Perfecture of Messinia (Γραφείο Σχολικών Δραστηριοτήτων Πρωτοβάθμιας Εκπαίδευσης Ν. Μεσσηνίας), represented by Ms Kokkonia Giannopoulou, Ms Eleni Kofterou, and Mr Dimitris Sarris.
The shredder-bike designed by Radikala will be used by students for awareness raising about environmental protection and physical activity while shredding plastic bottles collected locally by in schools and by students and their parents.
It was such a pleasure to see how Radikala’s shredder bike was the focus of kids attention and curiosity!
